Nestled at the bottom of Byres Road this petit bistro has become a West End essential. Split into two levels, low celings, soft lighting and whitewashed brick walls give it a cosy feel, lifted by crisp table linen and gleaming silverware.
There’s a definite neighbourhood feel, reinforced by the friendly, chatty staff who are happy to talk you through the constantly changing menu. Seasonality and the best of Scotland’s larder are a priority. The food isn’t exclusively Scottish though, the chefs take their influences from all over the globe focusing on flavour and creating exciting, delicious dishes, rather than sticking rigidly to a particular cuisine.
Wether you’re a seasoned west ender or just want to check out a different part of the city you definitely don’t want to miss No. Sixteen.
