Sister to the long established and much loved Cafe Gandolfi, but by no means riding its coat tails. Gandolfi Fish has grown a solid, loyal following of its own since its opened in 2007.
Owner Seumus McInnes has instilled the venue with the same enthusiasm for food and service that he’s put into it’s big sister and this is obvious as soon as you walk in the door. Floor to ceiling windows and clean, minimal decor mean the restaurant is bright and fresh and the atmosphere is upbeat. Large white tables tables are complimented by chic black chairs and the large bar backed by glossy white tiles is a nice feature.
The simplicity of the decor is reflected in simple handling of the food. Seumus is passionate about Scottish produce and this is showcased, with the flavours of the seafood allowed to shine through. The menu features classics like lobster thermidor and home cured gravadlax, as well as Gandolfi’s famous Cullen Skink. Vegetarians and meat eaters are also well catered for though, so don’t be afraid to bring friends who aren’t fans of fish or shellfish.
For top quality, Scottish seafood expertly handled with passion and joy don’t miss Gandolfi Fish.
