If you’re a vegetarian look away now, because The Butchershop is all about the meat.
Based just across from Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park, The Butchershop is a stunning restaurant with a very simple mission statement that can be summed up in two words: great steak. Now, don’t get me wrong - there’s a lot more to The Butchershop than just steak, but it’s very hard to not begin by talking about their absolute pride and joy.
The restaurant itself is a very stylish venue with a wonderful atmosphere. This is sophistication, with a little fun thrown in; which is very apparent the moment you open their impressive cocktail menu. Drink responsibly, boys and girls.
This lively joint wouldn’t be out of place in New York’s stylish (and aptly named) Meat District. The menu is simple, the fare is fresh and delicious and the staff are wonderfully attentive and engaging.
The Butchershop really is a great place to wind down and enjoy some fantastic food. Although, if you can - be sure to visit on a Tuesday evening to indulge in their ‘Steak versus Burger’ showdown, where you’ll find one of the best burgers Glasgow has on offer face off with one of the best steaks that’ll ever pass your lips.
For a vibrant, energetic yet intimate dining experience, get yourself to The Butchershop.
